I was born and raised in Shreveport, La. I love this area and returned here after attending college, to live, work and raise my wonderful son.

I came to love animals at an early age. I started showing dogs at the age of twelve when my fifth grade teacher started taking me along with her to the dog shows. Since then I show mainly Miniature Pinscher, and a few other breeds along the way. In the last few years I have also started to do some judging. I just have critters in my blood. To me, my dogs, cats, and birds are part of my family and i consider them to be that way in everyone else's family too.

I attended LSU Shreveport and LSU Baton Rouge before being accepted to LSU School of Veterinary Medicine. Geaux Tigers!! I graduated with my Doctor of Veterinary Medicine degree in 1987. I then returned to Shreveport and opened Brookings Animal Hospital in December of 1988. I started out in the shopping center on McDaniel Dr. spent eight years there before expanding to my current location on North Market St. in 1996.

From the moment I hung out my shingle until today, it has been a great experience. I have come to know and love so many folks over the years. I have had the honor to care for their beloved pets and watch their children grow. I am now caring for their children's pets and loving every minute of it!!
